The Canine Rescue
The Canine Rescue is a passionate dog rescue based out of Kitsap County, WA, with one simple mission: To give dogs a second chance - Outside of the shelter system.
Founded from pure compassion rather than a grand plan, this rescue exists to help dogs of all breeds find safety, love and stability through home-based foster care. We believe that every dog deserves to be seen, heard, and healed - not just warehoused and overlooked.
By providing dogs with a nurturing, in-home environment while they wait for their forever families, we help them decompress, grow in confidence, and become more adoptable. We focus on quality of care, because every pup we take in gets the time, attention, and advocacy they deserve.
Right Now, The Canine Rescue is run by one person with a lot of heart - but powered by a growing community of fosters, supporters, and adopters who believe dogs deserve better than cages and cold concrete floors.
Together, we are rewriting the story for dogs who were once discarded.
Hi, I'm Alley - the founder of The Canine Rescue, I didn't start this rescue with a long-term plan or a big team. I just knew I couldn't stand by while good dogs ended up in shelters, scared and overlooked. What began as helping one dog turned into a commitment to helping as many as I can, one home at a time.
I share my life with a very special crew: God - The one who called me to do this work and who continues to lead me through it. Jazzy, my sweet and soulful Pitbull; Sitka, my wild and loyal husky; Kilo, my curious cat who rules the house; and Rosie, my chill and loving bearded dragon. They've taught me so much about patience, love and the importance of second chances - and they are the heart behind everything that I do.
I'm not a large organization, I'm just one person trying to make a difference, with the help of a few incredible fosters, adopters and supporters along the way.
